Vicente Llimerá Dus has been Managing Director of the Organismo Autónomo Municipal O.A.M. Palau de la Música, Congresos y Orquesta de València since August 2023.

He is professor of oboe at the Conservatorio Superior de Música “Joaquín Rodrigo” in Valencia, Doctor cum Laude in Philosophy from the Universitat de València and member of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Carlos in our town.

As a soloist of the Grup Instrumental de València, with which he won the Premio Nacional de Música 2005 and the Premio Importante Levante EMV 2006, he has collaborated as an oboist and English horn soloist with the Orquesta de València, Orquesta de Les Arts, Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquesta Sinfónica de Barcelona y de Cataluña, and Orquesta del Gran Teatro Liceo de Barcelona, with which he has made several recordings for the Deutsche Gramophon, Naxos and RTVE. He has recorded numerous CDs and performed at various international festivals in Salzburg, Rome, Berlin, Bursa, Adana, Izmir, Istanbul, Peñíscola, etc.

In the research field, his studies and publications on the composers Francisco José de Castro, Pedro Soler and Enrique Marzo stand out. Within this research facet, he has been appointed as an expert in the assessment of the National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity (CNEAI), Field 10: History, Geography and Arts, by Resolution of 26 May 2022, of the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA).

He has been an associate professor at the Universitat Jaume I in Castelló and at the Universitat Politècnica de València, where he has supervised numerous doctoral theses and master’s degree. He has also carried out an intense academic management activity, including his job as Managing Director of the Instituto Superior de Enseñanzas Artísticas de la Comunitat Valenciana (ISEACV) between 2014 and 2015.

Vicente Llimerá received his musical training at the Banda Primitiva de Llíria and at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia. He holds the Diploma of Advanced Studies.
