Violeta y Las Mil y una Noches

Violeta and the thousand and one nights is a story-concert based on the symphonic poem In a Persian market by Albert William Ketèlbey, which conveys the atmosphere of an oriental market. This evocative and very descriptive piece of music, will help children understand the scenes through music.

In this adaptation, made by Manuel Valls and Yolanda Peña, the different melodies are repeated, facilitating the descriptive effect for the little ones. The play begins by introducing Violeta, a fantasy girl who never wants to stop playing. His father will only get her to go to sleep telling her a story. When Violeta falls asleep she begins to dream and the music she hears in her head makes her wake up inside her dream, in which the camels speak, the acrobats spit fire and the snake charmers do pirouettes.
